How this form handles your information

Consent version 2026-08-20.1

The short version

This form does not save your information. Your answers are converted into a spreadsheet and sent directly to your advisor, and are then discarded by this website.

What that does and does not cover

It would be misleading to stop there, so here is the whole picture. Three copies of your information exist after you press send, and only the first is under this website’s control.

  • This website: nothing. There is no database. While you fill the form your answers sit in your own browser tab and are cleared when you send or close it.
  • The email service: we send through Resend, which retains sent email — including the attachment — for a period, visible in their dashboard.
  • Your advisor’s mailbox: permanent. Once the profile lands there, responsibility for that copy is theirs, under their own retention policy.

Health information

Medical aid and gap cover details, smoker status, height and weight are special personal information under sections 26 and 27 of POPIA. They are asked for separately and captured only if you tick the second consent box. If you do not, those questions are skipped, and anything you had already typed into them is discarded on the server before your spreadsheet is built.

Where your information goes

The website runs on Vercel and email is sent through Resend. Both are United States companies, so your information crosses a border. Section 72 of POPIA permits this under a written agreement with each operator, which TYCF Financial Planning holds.

What we never do

  • No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts run on the form pages.
  • No cookie carries your answers.
  • Nothing you type is written to a log.
  • You cannot enter a recipient address. The app sends only to a fixed list of TYCF Financial Planning advisors.

Your rights

You may withdraw consent, and ask to see, correct or delete what is held about you. This website holds nothing to show or delete, so those requests go to your advisor, who holds the copy. Write to privacy@tycf.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
